Everton handled a deflated Chelsea team to nail a 3-1 win against the League champions!
Everton began the scoring 17 minutes in with a pinpoint header by Steven Naismith….
…who followed five minutes later with a left-footed shot into the bottom corner!
Nemanja Matic got Chelsea on the scoreboard in the 36th minute with a screamer to the top corner!
But Naismith put the game away for Everton in the 82nd minute with his third goal of the game, making a right-footed shot and completing a perfect hat-trick!
—– Arsenal v Stoke City —–
Arsenal were finally able to get their first home win of the season, shutting out Stoke City 2-0!
Theo Walcott left-footed a 30-yard pass from Mesut Özil through the goalkeep’s legs to produce a 1-0 Arsenal lead:
In the 85th minute Olivier Giroud headed a pass from Santiago Cazorla to the bottom-left corner to seal the win for the Gunners!
—– Crystal Palace v Manchester City —–
It took the full 90 minutes but Manchester City continues to have a perfect record after a 1-0 win over host Crystal Palace, in a meeting of the top two teams in the league standings!
After a well-fought game by both sides, it appeared to be headed to a scoreless draw. But in the 90th minute, a shot by Samir Nasri was stopped by Palace goalkeeper Alex McCarthy, but Kelechi Iheanacho was there to pick up the rebound from close range and get his team the win!
Iheanacho, in scoring his first EPL goal in his second Premier League game, becomes the 125th player to score an EPL goal for Manchester City!
—– Norwich v Bournemouth —–
Norwich recorded their first home win of the season with an easy 3-1 victory over AFC Bournemouth!
In the 35th minute Wes Hoolahan came up the right side, cut to the net, and passed to a waiting Cameron Jerome who poked the ball home, giving Norwich a 1-0 lead!
In the 52nd minute Hoolahan charged up the middle uncontested and unleashed a beauty to the bottom-right corner, doubling Norwich’s lead!
Matthew Jarvis finished Norwich’s scoring by converting Jonny Howson’s pass!
Steve Cook ensured there would be no shutout here today when, in the 81st minute, he headed in a pass from Simon Francis!
—– Watford v Swansea City —–
Watford picked up their first win of the season with a tight 1-0 win over Swansea!
After an uneventful first half, Odion Ighalo scored the game’s only goal with a right-footed shot to the bottom-left corner in the 59th minute!
In the 64th minute, Valon Behrami was shown the red card for violent conduct, but the 10-man Watford team held on for the win!
—– West Bromwich Albion v Southampton —–
West Brom and Southampton played to a nil-nil draw!

Goalkeeper David de Gea signed a new contract with Manchester United earlier this week! His return may have helped United get a morale boost as they won 3-1 over Liverpool!
In the 48th minute Liverpool’s Nathaniel Clyne received a yellow card for hauling down substitute Ashley Young.outside the box. Juan Mata took the free kick and sent it to Daley Blind, who was waiting at the top of the box. Blind drilled it into the top-left corner of the net to give United the lead!
In the 70th minute Liverpool’s Joseph Gomez took down Ander Herrera in the box, leading to a penalty kick that Herrera had no problem putting in, giving United a 2-0 lead!
Christian Benteke scored an amazing goal with a stunning overhead kick past de Gae in the 84th minute, cutting Manchester United’s lead in half:
However, new signee Anthony Martial put the game away with a fantastic run, followed by a dribble past Martin Skrtel, then converted a cool finish in the far bottom-right corner for his first EPL goal!
